grief as a self portrait
this was about my feelings..I painted it one evening after going to my sister in-laws funeral. I painted over a color scape which I had done, but which I did not know what to do with. I sketched the image of my sister in laws husband on top of the yellow background, then I painted his face and realized that I loved the simplicity of the color scape, with its random green splashes of color. Victor was a very tall man.
